A closely related product to the MRG305 whipping twine is a liquid vinyl product called "liquid electrical tape".
As the name implies, it's major use is to cover electrical terminals from vibration or corrosion. It is fantastic when you have to splice wires together that may end up in a bilge. To use for whipping, simply cover the whipping with one coat, leave to tack-dry and do another coat.
